For 34 years now, the Foundation’s annual Golf Tournament has stood out as one of the most prestigious and highly anticipated events of the season in Quebec. This flagship event has raised millions of dollars to support the Base de plein air Bon départ.
Thanks to the unwavering commitment of our players, guests, volunteers, partners, and donors, we have been able to meet—and often exceed—our goals, ensuring the sustainability of our programs and activities at the Base de plein air.

A magical place that changes lives
Located in Wentworth-Nord in the Laurentians, the 542-acre Base de plein air is a true oasis of joy and inspiration, dedicated to providing unforgettable outdoor experiences for children in vulnerable situations and individuals with intellectual disabilities. Certified by Association des camps du Québec, the Base de plein air offers a welcoming and stimulating environment where campers can challenge themselves, discover new passions, and create lasting memories.
Children attending the Base de plein air’s summer camps are supported from the moment they leave home, with transportation funded by the Foundation and provided by the Base de plein air with the support of Canadian Tire store dealers. The Foundation also covers accommodation, meals, and activities for all participants in respite stays and summer camps, and provides a camper kit, including a sleeping bag and clothing. This comprehensive support ensures that campers can fully enjoy this transformative experience.
The camp’s programming promotes healthy lifestyle habits through sports, outdoor activities, as well as cooking and nutrition workshops. A stay at the Base de plein air Bon départ is more than just a camp experience. The testimonials from campers are both moving and revealing. For many, their time at the Base de plein air marks a turning point in their lives, offering not only moments of joy and discovery but also a new perspective on their potential and abilities.

Online auction
Just before the Golf Tournament, our 10-day digital auction always generates great excitement and features over a hundred lots, each valued at a minimum of $200. This event allows participants to bid on a variety of items, such as experiences, travel, luxury goods, and jewelry, all while supporting a great cause.
The funds raised during the auction are crucial to continue funding the activities and facilities at the Base de plein air Bon départ, providing children in vulnerable situations and individuals with intellectual disabilities unforgettable outdoor experiences. Thanks to the generosity of the bidders and donors, the digital auction plays a significant role in the success of the Golf Tournament.
