We improve the quality of life for children and their families
We support charitable organizations to improve the quality of life for children and their families, including contributing to the development of healthy lifestyles and their well-being.
We have been giving a helping hand to organizations in our communities since 1990
The Fondation Bon départ de Canadian Tire du Québec has been supporting charitable organizations since 1990. The strength of its network allows it to be present throughout Quebec. The Dealers who own the 100 Canadian Tire stores in Quebec sponsor the charities in their community, which encourages the distribution of our action throughout the province.

Overview of some donations 2020-2021
Throughout the year, we work together with charitable organizations. Thanks to this collaboration, we are changing lives throughout Quebec. A big thank you to all our organization friends that work for the well-being of children and families on a daily basis.
Centre de répit et hébergement Maison des Lucioles
The mission of the organization is to provide parents of young people with multiple disabilities in the Quebec City area with respite services, childcare, adapted recreational activities, and short-term accommodation to preserve family well-being and support the young person’s integration into their natural environment.
We donated $4,400 to La Maison des Lucioles for their summer camp, which offered a safe and adapted program, allowing all young participants to fully enjoy the proposed activities. The funds were used to purchase equipment to promote the overall development of the young campers and to facilitate their outings in the community, as well as to help organize the camp on a daily basis.
Jean-Marc Leroux, Canadian Tire Quebec – Vanier dealer, sponsored the organization.
Mercier-Ouest Quartier en santé
Their mission is to develop projects and services for the community to meet the needs of residents in the Mercier-Ouest neighborhood of Montreal.
We donated $5,785.54 to Mercier-Ouest Quartier en santé as part of their 2022 Back-to-School Operation, which aimed to provide new school supplies to vulnerable children aged 5 to 17 and adult education students in the neighborhood. Our donation helped complete the purchased school supplies and assisted 319 students and learners.
The organization was sponsored by Stefano Rover, Canadian Tire Place Versailles dealer.
Ressource Espace Familles (Solidarité Sainte-Ursule)
The mission of the organization is to promote the overall and optimal development of children by offering activities and services tailored to the needs of families.
We donated $5,000 to Ressource Espace Familles for their project Jouons cet été, which enabled the implementation of a five-day-a-week animation project in two parks in underprivileged neighborhoods of Sainte-Foy in Quebec for children aged 3 to 12. 3,000 young people living in vulnerable situations were able to enjoy sports equipment, have fun with their peers, and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
The organization was sponsored by Jean-François Deshaies, Canadian Tire Sainte-Foy dealer.
Centre Marie-Ève
The organization’s mission is to provide welcome and support to women during pregnancy and in the first two years following childbirth.
Our donation of $3,851.62 to the Centre Marie-Ève allowed them to set up a storage space to maintain the efficiency of their activities, particularly for storing materials intended for mothers who visit the center and items for the thrift store. The establishment of this storage space has had an impact on 225 people.
The project was sponsored by Jean Paquette, Canadian Tire Saint-Eustache dealer.
Le Berceau
The mission of the organization is to support and equip young mothers during the prenatal and postnatal periods to help them better navigate their new realities.
We donated $2,000 to the organization Le Berceau to support their project Profitons de l’hiver, which facilitated the purchase of 55 sleds and 20 hockey sets for 75 young families benefiting from the organization. In total, 150 people were helped by this project, which promoted healthy lifestyle habits among young families.
The organization was sponsored by Léopold Fontaine, Canadian Tire Saint-Georges-de-Beauce dealer.
